How to uninstall PocketRoles

- The current PocketRoles (installed with the launcher) has no uninstall button or program, and it doesn’t appear under Windows Settings → Apps.
- You don’t need to delete Steam’s Among Us. PocketRoles only copies Steam’s Among Us; it never changes the Steam copy itself.

1. Close the game and Aegis
Close Among Us (the modded copy) and the launcher. If there’s an Aegis shield icon at the bottom right of the screen, right-click it and choose “Exit”.
2. Delete these in order
- The game copy for the mod: “Among Us PocketRoles” on the Desktop (
%LOCALAPPDATA%\PocketRoles\Among Us PocketRoleson PCs whose Desktop is on OneDrive) - The launcher folder: where you extracted the PocketRoles-Setup zip (e.g. Documents\PocketRoles)
- The “PocketRoles Launcher” shortcut on the Desktop
- PocketRoles’ data folder:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\PocketRoles - The launcher’s temporary folder:
%TEMP%\PocketRolesLauncher - Report zips:
PocketRoles-report-….zipon the Desktop - The zips you downloaded (usually in Downloads)
Delete “Among Us PocketRoles”. Don’t delete Steam’s steamapps\common\Among Us. If the launcher folder also holds your own files, don’t delete the whole folder — remove only the PocketRoles files.
Don’t delete the folder. Delete only winhttp.dll, doorstop_config.ini, BepInEx, dotnet and steam_appid.txt (and .doorstop_version and changelog.txt if they are there; also README.md, README.en.md, README.zh-CN.md, LICENSE and NOTICE from the mod zip, and since v0.5.6 licenses and !README-64bit.txt), then run “Verify integrity of game files” for Among Us in Steam.
3. Delete the records too
A host’s PC keeps not only your own records but also those of other people who joined your rooms (names, room codes, Aegis records and so on). Deleted files go to the Recycle Bin first, so empty it at the end. If you use OneDrive, empty the OneDrive recycle bin too. When giving the PC to someone, Windows “Reset this PC” with “Remove everything” is the surest way.
PocketRoles deletes logs and report zips after 30 days, but once you remove PocketRoles that automatic cleanup stops too. Delete everything.
Things you don’t need to delete
- Steam’s Among Us
- Among Us game settings (
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Innersloth\Among Us). Deleting them also deletes the Steam copy’s settings. - The Windows registry (PocketRoles never writes to it)
Things outside this PC
Report zips you emailed are in the author’s mailbox and PC. To have them deleted, contact pocketroles.report+[email protected]. Your records on other hosts’ PCs can be erased as described in Having your records deleted.
